How to get high quality Carbon Steel Flanges
What are Carbon Steel Flanges?
Carbon steel flanges, the main materials are carbon steels.
Carbon Steel Flanges are designed with care using current techniques under the visionary guidance of accomplished professionals at manufacturing unit. Offered range is stringently tested on various parameters of quality for ensuring flawlessness and defect free. These products are widely used in various industries and widely appreciated by clients for owning unmatchable characteristics. Offered range supplied in quality assured packaging material.
Carbon steel
• ASTM A105/A266 Gr.2 (high temperature carbon steel flanges)
• ASTM A350 LF1 to LF3 (low temperature carbon steel flanges)
• ASTM A694 Gr. F42/F52/F56/F60/F65 (high yield carbon steel flanges to match API 5L linepipes)
ASTM A694
The standards of A694 are more rigorous than the more common SA105N and SA350LF2 grades, providing more robust specifications for high-pressure fluid transmission in oil and gas piping systems. The increased demands on the physical properties of the steel create a stronger metal throughout the pressure range, from low to high temperature services.
Each grade in the A694 specification is assigned a number correlating to the minimum yield strength (in ksi units) required for that grade; GradeF52 for example requires a minimum Yield Strength of 52 ksi.
SA105N
This is a mild Carbon Steel that is not only one of the most common of the Carbon steels, but also one of the most common steels in the world. It is hard, not brittle or ductile, and has a low price point. SA105N is very common throughout many industries, and is even used with stainless Steel piping systems with the aid oflap joint End Rings
We stock large diameter (18” – 42”) SLIP-ON, Lap Joint, Weld Neck, and Blind Flanges in SA105N, in class 150 and 300, and can also source a variety of sizes and classes for longer lead times, from 12” to 60”.

Carbon Steel Forged Flanges
A flange is defined as a plate type device, normally round, that is attached to the end of a pipe, fitting, valve or other object to facilitate the assembly and disassembly of a piping system.
Flanges are manufactured in all the different materials to match the material of the pipe and fittings to which they are being attached. While some flanges are made of Cast Iron, the vast majority of flanges are forged carbon steel.
Forged steel flanges are made in seven primary ratings: Class 150, Class 300, Class 400, Class 600, Class 900, Class 1500 & Class 2500.

MEASUREMENTS
Flanges within the same standard can either be flat (commonly cast iron, ductile iron) or raised face (commonly cast steel and stainless steel). These flange tables cover the critical flange dimensions to help identify what standard you have.
Critical flange dimensions help to identify the standard
Pipe Size – Pipe flanges also have a corresponding pipe size, generally according to accepted standards.
Outside Diameter of Flange (OD) – this is measured from outer edge to opposing outer edge.
Pitch Circle Diameter (PCD) – this is a diameter that measures from the center of bolt hole to opposing bolt hole.
Flange Thickness – this measures only the thickness of the attaching outer rim, and does not include the part of the flange that holds the pipe.
INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS
Several organizations and associations have published specifications that provide dimensional information as well as pressure specifications at different temperatures.
DIN EN 1092-1
Many countries in the European Union (EU) mainly install flanges to the DIN EN 1092-1 (forged stainless or steel flanges).
This standard is very similar to the ASME flange standard. The EN 1092-1 standard incorporates a threaded flange to IOS7.1 instead of NPT. The different forms of flanges within the EN 1092-1 (European Norm Euro norm) is indicated within the flange name through the type. Different types of flanges have different standards, some are as follow:
